CONNECTED 012: The resurgence of self through trauma recovery with Iman Gatti
In this episode, I’m joined with the woman *I* look up to for inspiration when it feels like I can’t make it. She has been my friend for years and I am so lucky to know her.
Iman Gatti was only 6 years old, when she witnessed her mother being murdered by her father. In her memoir cracked open never broken, she details her experience of growing up in the foster care system. Today, over 30 years later, she joins us on the podcast to talk to us about forgiveness and finding wholeness and belonging when you’ve felt like you’ve been behind for eons due to the impacts of C-PTSD and PTSD. We also touch on the complex dynamics around non fiction storytelling, and I think you’ll really like what Iman has to say.
