Emily Beatrix Consulting CV

2014…

  • Founded Anxiety Free Community (AFC) – a website, non-for-profit organization and movement that had the mission of reducing stigma about mental health issues and recovery.

  • Wrote, and developmentally edited and then published my first book, Love before Fear, with Balboa Press.

  • Had many media features including: The Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, MindBody Green.

  • Worked as a keynote speaker on the topic of anxiety. I did presentations in middle schools, high schools and colleges in the Greater Toronto Area.

  • Launched my services as a professional tarot and oracle reader. In the first year following my start as an intuitive, I did well over 700 sessions with hundreds of different people from different continents such as North America, Europe and Australia mostly through word-of-mouth marketing (averaging 15 clients weekly.)

2015…

  • Hosted a how to read tarot + oracle program for folks, as well as a course about energy hygiene and chakra health.

  • As its founder, continued to grow and manage AFC’s mission of reducing stigma about anxiety for teens and young adults in the greater Toronto area (which now included a 20 -person volunteer team assigned different roles – writers, an editor, a website designer, social media managers, etc.)

AFC continued existing as a movement until the fall of 2016, when I made the decision to end our active role in the community due to the complicated nature of running a multi-level team with not enough funding to employ people part time or full time.

  • Started working as a holistic life coach and peer mentor.

  • Began the annual forecast reading sale for the upcoming year (a one day a year sale for a 13-card spread for the new year that happens usually in November).

2016…

  • Ran a program called “Angel Ladies Mastermind” for 11 months, which was both a group and an individual coaching experience for creatives who owned their own business and wanted emotional support, spiritual counsel and encouragement as they expanded their unique artistry in the form of products or services.

  • Hosted an in person week-long artist and entrepreneur collective retreat in June 2016 in the Montreal, Canada, Area.

  • Continued to facilitate tarot + oracle readings for individuals.

2017…

2018…

  • Hosted in person private artist and entrepreneur residencies in the Toronto Area.

  • Focused a lot on 1-1 clients during this year, notably mentoring writers to write books or upgrade their marketing presence to get beautiful conversion rates from connection they built with their audience.

  • The podcast: Connected with Emily Beatrix was born and ran through 2020 (3 seasons of the show were published on Apple podcasts).

The podcast Connected with Emily Beatrix has since retired from Apple podcasts but can be found in the blog and podcast archive on my website emilybeatrix.com/content.

2019…

  • Tarot and oracle readings were renamed spiritual sessions.

  • Spiritual sessions + private coaching sessions were facilitated throughout the year with clients.

  •  Nervous System Mastery – a program about recovering from developmental trauma and taking care of a sensitive nervous system holistically was born in June of 2019 and ran through the end of the summer.

Nervous system mastery then continued to be taught in a Fall 2019 session (October- December) as well as a winter 2020 session (January-March). So far, 45 students have graduated from NSM.

  • In August of 2019, I taught a nervous system health and relationship class that was on attraction science, attachment styles, boundaries and effective communication.

  • In September of 2019, I ran another online group program called: nervous system and money, which explored the connection between our need for safety and its inherent tie to money, and how to approach our bank accounts with more nervous system regulation.

  • Successfully sold out sales… The annual mother’s day spiritual session sale; the 2020 forecast reading sale.

2020…

  •  The Journey to Pleasure course was born to build safety in the body so pleasure and sex that works for you can become do-able after trauma. The program was hosted in February and March of 2020 to 21 students.

  • 10 LIVE classes were taught for easy access to nervous system health education during the 2020 pandemic. Topics included: the ins and outs of the nervous system, biological authenticity and awakening the true self in post-traumatic growth, creativity, discharging anger, resourcing the need to be seen and heard, embodiment, rest and ritual. About 210 people took classes with me in 2020.

  • The Claim your Value program was born in October 2020, and was about dismantling internalized patriarchy in those socialized as female. It was taught within that same month to 9 students.

  • Ongoing private coaching clients had sessions.

  • I wrote and developmentally edited my next book, a memoir currently being pitched as: Can you turn the lights off, coming of age stories by a gay girl on the autism spectrum.
